ChatAnimate provides tools that empower creators to transform chat conversations into engaging animated video content. We built this platform for creators, storytellers, educators, and entertainers who want to share conversations in a visually compelling way. With that power comes responsibility. This Acceptable Use Policy establishes clear boundaries for how ChatAnimate may and may not be used, ensuring the platform remains safe, lawful, and valuable for everyone.
This policy applies to all users of ChatAnimate, including free and paid subscribers, and covers all features of the Service including the chat editor, animation engine, AI-powered tools, and export capabilities. Violations of this policy may result in content removal, account suspension, or permanent termination at our sole discretion.
1. Prohibited content

2. Prohibited activities
In addition to content restrictions, certain activities are strictly prohibited on the ChatAnimate platform. These activities undermine the service, harm other users, or create legal and security risks that we cannot tolerate. Engaging in any of the following activities may result in immediate account action.

3. Impersonation and misrepresentation
ChatAnimate is a tool for creating fictional or dramatized chat animations. We understand that users may create conversations involving fictional characters, parody, or storytelling. However, you may not use the Service to create content that impersonates real individuals in a way that is defamatory, misleading, or intended to deceive others into believing the conversation actually occurred.
When sharing animated chats publicly, we encourage you to clearly indicate that the content is fictional, dramatized, or created using ChatAnimate. This helps maintain trust in online conversations and prevents the spread of misinformation. Content that is designed to fraudulently represent real conversations for the purpose of harassment, defamation, or deception will be removed.
4. Intellectual property
You retain ownership of the content you create using ChatAnimate. However, you must not upload, use, or incorporate any material that infringes on the intellectual property rights of others, including copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets, or proprietary information. If you are animating a real conversation, ensure you have the consent of all parties involved or that your use qualifies as fair use under applicable law.
ChatAnimate respects intellectual property rights and will respond to valid DMCA takedown notices. If you believe your intellectual property has been used on our platform without authorization, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.
5. Security
You must not attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service, other users' accounts, or any systems or networks connected to ChatAnimate. This includes probing for vulnerabilities, attempting to bypass security measures, using automated tools to scrape or extract data, or interfering with the proper functioning of the Service through denial-of-service attacks or similar methods.
If you discover a security vulnerability in our Service, we encourage you to report it responsibly through our bug report page. We appreciate responsible disclosure and will work with you to address the issue promptly.
6. Enforcement

When filing a report, please include as much detail as possible, including the specific content or user involved, the nature of the violation, and any relevant URLs or screenshots. This helps us investigate and resolve the issue efficiently. We keep the identity of reporters confidential to the extent permitted by law.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Acceptable Use Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, legal requirements, or the evolving nature of online content. When we make material changes, we will notify you by posting the updated policy with a revised "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
